UK Student Policy Forum

UKSPF 2017 will showcase the policy work of The Wilberforce Society, Kings’ Think Tank, OxPolicy and the Buchanan Institute. The day will consist of policy writers presenting their policy research on a range of topics from UBI, technology policy, homelessness and organ donation policy. Forums, discussions and networking sessions will be hosted throughout the day. Whether you’re a policy wonk or just dipping your toes, we’d love to show you how you can get actively involved, get tips on setting up a student think tank or just mingle with likeminded students and professionals in the field.

It’s no secret that we live in uncertain times. With pressing issues on our doorstep from globalised terrorism, climate change, rising waves of populism and radicalism, it’s pertinent for students to have a say in the decision making that will directly influence our futures. We want to hear your voice, and get your voice heard.

The first annual UK Student Policy Forum, established by a group of student think tanks from major universities across the UK including Kings, Edinburgh, Oxford and Cambridge, will be a chance to do just that. Bringing together students from all across the UK, the inaugural UK Student Policy Forum Symposium on the 26th April 2017, is a chance for students, policy professionals, think tanks, MPs, policy makers and influencers to connect and empower student voices.

The first UKSPF is an opportunity to celebrate a great year for student think tanks from around the UK and to lay the foundations for even better things to come.
